Fixing from the share sheet

Fix photos straight from Photos with Fix Rotation, including ones a scan wouldn't suggest.

1. In Photos, select up to 30 photos, or open one.
2. Tap Share, then Fix Rotation. It’s in the list of actions below the row of apps; scroll down if you don’t see it.
3. Each photo is shown with its suggested fix, and why. A photo with no suggested fix is shown as Original.
4. Use the arrows under a photo to rotate it yourself. Turning it back to Original leaves it as it is.
5. Tap Fix N.

This works for any photo, including ones a scan wouldn’t suggest, like scenery with no faces, people or text.

Fixes are ordinary edits, so Revert in Photos undoes them. See Fixing and undoing.

Good to know

• With more than 30 photos selected, Fix Rotation isn’t offered. Scan for them in the app instead.
• It needs full access to your photos. If it says Photo Access Needed, see Permissions.
• If it says Couldn’t Find These Photos, it couldn’t match them to your library. Scan for them in the app instead.
• It uses the same free fixes as the app. With fewer left than photos to fix, only the first ones are fixed. Unlock unlimited fixes in the app: see Free fixes and the unlock.
• Photos you fix here count as reviewed, so scans skip them. So does a suggested photo you turn back to Original before tapping Fix N: that counts as dismissing the suggestion.
