Photo access
The first time you open Photo Tidy(er), tap Allow Photo Access, then choose Allow Full Access. Photo Tidy(er) needs full access because:
- Scans on the Rotate tab look through your library for sideways photos.
- The share-sheet actions get copies of the photos you share, and find the originals in your library to change them. That takes full access.
Photos are checked on your iPhone and never leave it.
With limited access
If you limited access, the Staged tab says Limited photo access. Until you allow full access:
- Photo Tidy(er) and Fix Rotation in the share sheet show Photo Access Needed instead of your photos.
- Scans only see the photos you’ve allowed.
- Opening the app doesn’t clear expired batches.
Changing it later
In the app’s Settings tab, Permissions shows Photos as Full Access, Limited or Off. If it isn’t full access, tap Open Settings, then Photos, and choose Full Access.
If access is off, Photo Tidy(er) shows Open Settings as soon as you open it.
Notifications
Photo Tidy(er) sends two kinds of notification, both scheduled on your iPhone:
- A reminder when a staged batch expires.
- A message in the morning when an overnight check finds photos to fix.
To turn them on later, go to Settings → Permissions and tap Turn On Notifications, or Open Settings if you turned them off.
