Installing Loman Maintenance Mode

Add the app to your store, pick a plan, and get to the setup checklist.

Install Loman Maintenance Mode from the Shopify App Store. Everything the app does is configured from inside your Shopify admin afterwards — there is nothing to download and no code to paste into your theme.

Install from the App Store

  1. Open the Loman Maintenance Mode listing on the Shopify App Store.
  2. Click Install.
  3. Review the permissions Shopify shows you and confirm.

The app opens inside your Shopify admin and asks you to choose a plan.

Check the developer nameSeveral apps in the App Store do the same job under similar names. Ours is Loman Maintenance Mode, published by Loman Group, LLC. If the developer name says anything else, this documentation will not match what you are looking at.

Choosing a plan

There are two, and the difference between them is one line of text on your page.

Plan Price What you get
Free $0/mo Both templates, the editor, the staff password, and the URL allowlist
Standard $1.99/mo The same, minus the “Powered by Loman Maintenance Mode” line at the bottom of your page

Free is a real plan, not a trial. It does not expire and it is not time-limited, so if the branding line does not bother you there is nothing you need to buy. You can move between the two at any time from Home → Your Plan → Change plan.

No trial, on purposeThere is deliberately no free trial. Maintenance is usually measured in hours, so a trial long enough to be useful would outlast the job — the Free plan does that better, and without a date you have to remember.

Billing runs through Shopify, so a Standard charge appears on your regular Shopify invoice rather than as a separate bill. For the detail, see Plans and features.

Opening the app later

Once installed, Loman Maintenance Mode lives in your Shopify admin under Apps. Everything — templates, settings, billing — happens there, across three tabs: Home, Templates, and Settings.

What happens next

Installing does not put a page in front of your storefront on its own. You still need to customize a template, publish it, turn on the theme app embed, and switch the page on.

The app walks you through it: Setting up your maintenance page.
