Filmed your practice with the Camera app? Kinograph Golf can make a session of just your swings.
Import a video
- On the home, tap New session, then Import.
- Tap Choose from Photos, or Choose from Files for a video that isn’t in your library.
- Wait while Kinograph goes through the video. A long video takes a while.
When it’s done, Kinograph says how many swings it kept, and the session opens like one you filmed: watch your swings, change them, and save or share the videos. See Saving and sharing.
Your original video is left as it was. The session is kept in your library once you’ve finished with it.
For the best result, the video should be filmed the way Kinograph films: from behind, in line with the target, with the ball in view. See Setting up.
Several videos, one session Pro
Importing one video at a time is free. With Kinograph Golf Pro, pick several videos at once and Kinograph makes one session of all their swings, in the order you filmed them.
Each video is listed as it’s read. If one has no swings, or can’t be opened, the rest go on. To stop partway, tap Cancel: Keep what’s imported makes a session of the swings found so far, and Discard everything throws it all away.
Replacing the original
For a session made from one video in Photos, saved as one video, Save also offers Replace original. It swaps the video in Photos for its trimmed version. Photos keeps the original underneath, so you can get it back: open the video in Photos, tap Edit, then Revert.
If no swings were found
The video is left alone. That can mean the camera was somewhere Kinograph can’t read yet, such as face-on, rather than that the video has no swings in it.
