Stepping through the moments
The buttons above the bar step back and on through the swing’s moments: Address, the Top of the backswing, Impact, and the Finish, plus any moment you’ve marked. The name of the moment shows between them, and the swing pauses on each one.
Tempo
Over the swing, Tempo 3 : 1 says how many times longer your backswing took than your downswing: address to the top, against the top to impact. Where there’s room, it also says how long each took, as in 0.90 s back · 0.30 s down.
- It’s given to the nearest quarter, such as 3, 3.25, or 3.5, because a finer figure would claim more than the swing’s moments can show.
- Tour players’ full swings are often near 3 : 1. Shorter swings, such as chips and pitches, are often nearer 2 : 1. There’s no single right number: a steady tempo from swing to swing matters more than hitting a particular one.
- A swing shows no tempo if its address, top, or impact couldn’t be found.
Each swing’s tempo is free. With Kinograph Golf Pro, Your tempo over time in your library charts it across your sessions.
Side by side
Watching a swing full screen, tap the compare button, two panes side by side, and choose another swing to watch beside it. The two are lined up at impact; where both have other moments in common, Line up at chooses which one they meet at.
Any two swings from the same session are free. Comparing with a swing from an earlier session is part of Pro.
The close-up
The close-up of the ball sits in one of six spots, along the top or the bottom of the picture: toward you, in the middle, or away from you.
- Move it: drag it to another spot.
- Resize it: pinch it to make it larger or smaller.
- Hide it: drag it to the bin. To bring it back, tap the ⋯ button over the picture and choose Show the close-up.
Where you put it is where it appears in your saved videos too.
