Marks are part of Kinograph Golf Pro. Reading marks a coach made on your swings is free.
Add a mark
Watching a swing full screen, pause where you want the mark, then tap the mark button (the pencil) and choose one:
- Draw: a Line, a Circle, an Angle, which shows its degrees, or Freehand, in yellow, red, blue, or white. Undo and Clear take marks back.
- Text on the picture: tap where the words go, and type them.
- Note: a written note, such as what to work on.
- Voice note: up to a minute of you talking.
Each mark is about the moment you paused on, or about the whole swing. A note or voice note can also be about the whole session.
Voice notes
A voice note is written out on your iPhone or iPad, so you can read it as well as hear it. Your voice stays on the device.
Voice notes can’t be recorded while the recorder is open, because it’s using the microphone to film. Record one from your library, or once you’ve left the recorder.
Seeing your marks
- A mark about a moment shows only while the swing is stopped on that moment. Step to it with the moment buttons, or tap its tick along the bar. See Reviewing a swing.
- A mark about the whole swing shows all the way through.
- Notes, below the picture on an iPhone and beside it on an iPad, lists every mark in order. Tap one at a moment to jump there, or play a voice note. A coach’s marks are labeled Coach.
In your videos
Drawings and words on the picture are drawn into the videos you save. A video can’t be paused, so it holds the frame for 2 seconds at each moment with a mark on it, with the marks drawn on it, then plays on. Marks about the whole swing show throughout, and on its strobe picture.
Notes and voice notes stay in the app; they aren’t put in videos. They go with a session you send to your coach.
