Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the things merchants ask most. Each links to the full article.
Setup
I published my page but it's still not live.
Almost always one of two things: you enabled the app embed in the theme editor but did not click Save, or Shopify's own password protection is still on. Work through My page isn't showing — it lists the six checks in the order that resolves this fastest.
I made edits and clicked Publish, but my changes aren't showing.
Check you published the template you edited — the editor's Save and Publish are different buttons, and saving alone does not change what visitors see. If that is right, try a private window; your browser may be holding a cached copy. See The template editor.
Do I need to add code to my theme?
No. The app attaches through a Shopify app embed, which you switch on in the theme editor — no files to edit. Older versions of the app did insert a snippet into
theme.liquid; those installs were migrated. See Setting up your page.If I change my Shopify theme, do I need to do anything?
Yes. App embeds belong to one theme, so publishing a different theme turns the page off. Re-enable Coming Soon in the new theme's app embeds and save. Nothing is lost. See I changed my Shopify theme.
Is Coming Soon responsive?
Yes — every template works on phones, tablets, and desktops. Use the Preview on Mobile option in the editor to check your specific settings, since background images in particular crop differently. The Simple template has a separate mobile background image setting for that reason.
Templates and design
How many templates are there?
Seven. Simple and Duo are on every plan; Minimal, Countdown, Split Hero, Video Hero, and Product Showcase need Pro or higher. See Choosing a template.
What are the optimal image dimensions?
Background and slider images: 1680 × 1050 px. Logo: no wider than 500px. Favicon: 32 × 32 px. Background video for Video Hero: keep the file under 5MB.
Can I use a custom font?
Templates with a Typography category offer a list of system fonts. To load a Google Font or your own typeface you need the Custom CSS field, which is part of the Premium plan. See Using a custom font.
If I switch templates, do my settings carry over?
No — each template has its own settings. Your old template stays in Your Templates with everything intact, so you can keep it open alongside the new one to copy values across.
Access and passwords
How do I let certain people bypass the page with a password?
Turn on password protection in Settings → Password Protection and set a password. Anyone who enters it gets through to the real storefront. This is separate from Shopify's own password page, which must stay off. See Password protection.
How do I let specific pages through without a password?
Add their paths to the allowlist in Settings → Allowlisted URLs. Enter the path only —
/pages/lookbook, not the full URL with your domain. See Allowlisting URLs.Why do I have to turn off Shopify's password protection?
While it is on, nobody reaches your storefront at all — including our app. Your page will look right in the preview and be invisible to the public. See Disabling Shopify's password protection.
Email and results
Where do email signups go?
Two places at once: a list inside the app, and your Shopify customer list as customers with email marketing consent. Viewing and exporting the in-app list needs Pro; the Shopify customer records are there on any plan. See Collecting email signups.
How do I connect Mailchimp or Klaviyo?
Set a Form action URL in the template's Email settings. Klaviyo also needs a list ID in Hidden fields. Note this sends signups to that service instead of the built-in list, which also stops conversion rate and A/B results recording. See Third-party email services.
How do I add Facebook Pixel or Google Analytics?
On the Simple and Duo templates, open the SEO & Analytics category in the editor and paste your Pixel ID and GA4 measurement ID. The app also has its own analytics dashboard on Pro and above, with nothing to configure.
Why does my A/B test show 0% confidence?
Confidence is withheld until both sides have at least 30 views. A conversion rate from a handful of visitors swings too much to mean anything. See A/B testing.
Why can't I see the best-times chart in email insights?
Timing breakdowns need at least 30 signups. Below that the card says so rather than drawing a chart from too little data.
Billing
What does each plan include?
Basic ($9.99) is the page and the two starter templates. Pro ($14.99) adds all seven templates, password protection, the allowlist, analytics, and the email list with CSV export. Premium ($24.99) adds A/B testing, email insights, the activity feed, custom code, and priority support. See Plans and features.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Nothing is deleted — it stays and comes back if you upgrade again. You just cannot view or export it below the plan that includes it. Export your email list before dropping to Basic. See Changing or cancelling your plan.
How do I cancel?
Uninstall the app — that cancels the subscription; there is no separate cancel step. If you only want the page to stop showing, untick Show Coming Soon page to visitors on the Home tab instead and keep everything.
I uninstalled the app and my store shows an error.
This should not happen with current installs — removing the app leaves nothing behind in your theme. If you installed years ago, an older version added a snippet to
theme.liquid. Email us and we will tell you exactly what to remove. See Uninstalling. Not answered here?
