Activity feed

Premium plan

The last 50 page views and signups as one timeline — the fastest way to confirm something worked.

The last card on Insights is a single timeline of recent page views and email signups, newest first.

Its job is not analysis. The aggregates above it already do that. This answers the immediate questions:

  • I just shared the link — is anyone actually landing on it?
  • I just tested the form — did my signup record?
  • The page went live an hour ago. Anything?

What’s in it

Up to 50 recent events, merged from two sources:

Event Shows
Page view When it happened, and device or referrer where known
Email signup When it happened, and the address

It updates on page load, not live

The feed refreshes when you load or refresh the Insights page. It does not stream in new events while you watch.

That is a deliberate trade. Pushing an update for every page view would put a live-update message on the critical path of every storefront visit — slowing down the page for your visitors so the admin screen could animate. For the question the feed actually answers, a refresh is enough.

It is the freshest number on the pageAnalytics and email insights are cached for five minutes. The feed is not cached at all, so it is the quickest way to confirm a visit or a test signup registered.

Using it as a smoke test

After going live, or after changing anything:

  1. Open your page at https://your-store.myshopify.com/apps/coming-soon in a private window.
  2. Submit the form with an address you can check.
  3. Go back to Insights and refresh.

You should see both a page view and a signup at the top. If the view is there and the signup is not, the form is posting somewhere else — check Form action URL on the published template.

If neither appears, the page you loaded is not the one the app thinks is live.

Privacy

The feed shows email addresses, because that is the point of it — you need to see whether a specific signup landed. It does not show IP addresses or anything that would identify a visitor who did not give you their address.

Only staff with access to your Shopify admin can see it.

For longer history

The feed is a rolling window of the most recent 50 events. For anything further back:

  • Analytics — 30-day trend and all-time totals
  • CSV export — every signup you have ever collected, with timestamps
